Robert Sapi\u00e9n, MD, MMM has been both an associate instructor and practical skills coach at the Hypnotherapy Academy of America<\/a> (HAA) for a decade.\u00a0 He is a tenured Distinguished Professor of emergency medicine and pediatrics and the Associate Dean of Admissions, School of Medicine at an academic health sciences center.\u00a0\u00a0He is recognized as a national expert in emergency asthma care and school emergencies.\u00a0After training at HAA in clinical hypnotherapy, he incorporated hypnosis in the care of children in the health science center’s pediatric emergency department. He serves on the Board of Directors for the International Board of Hypnotherapy and also has an active hypnotherapy practice, which specializes in medical hypnotherapy referral and consultation.<\/span><\/p>\n
